How to turn your Galaxy S4 into a universal remote

Years before smartphones were a thing, Nokia was one of the first manufacturers to add IR blasters to its dumbphones. The use case was pretty limited, though, as the cool factor typically ended after the fun of turning TVs off at Circuit City died off.
But IR is getting its second wind in a new wave of smartphones packing the technology, namely, the S4. This time around, the use case is much more tangible, posing a real threat to the traditional TV remote. Powered by WatchOn (and Peel), the S4 is more than just a substitute clicker -- it's an intelligent companion that can change the way you surf channels, personalizing your experience based on your (and your friends') interests.
At least, that's the promise. Here's how to set up your S4 as a universal remote that controls your home theater system and gives you personalized recommendations based on your interests.

Launching the app

Launch the WatchOn app, which came preinstalled on your S4. Upon opening the app for the first time, you'll be asked to surrender a little information about yourself, like what kinds of shows you like and what sports you're into. The app will even request your name and gender. It's a series of questions that might be off-putting for a first acquaintance, but WatchOn needs to know these things to deliver relevant, personalized recommendations on what to watch. If you'd rather not divulge, though, choose the option to skip. (You can always go back later via Settings.)
At the end of that process, you'll be taken straight to the primary WatchOn interface, where the app has already begun to create a catalog of shows tailored to your tastes and based on the cable provider you indicated early on.
But, before we dive into that interface and learn about the features, you still have to pair your phone with your TV, cable box, and any other components so it can act as your universal remote. See more>>

How to Repair windows 7 error log event viewer Problems

Here are some notes about Event Viewer Reports which may help. When you have a lot of errors you need to concentrate on system errors and warnings, even if it is applications that are giving you grief. Sorting system problems first can make resolving application problems easier. Note the time the computer is last booted and deal with those at the beginning of the boot first. Correcting the earlier errors can resolve later ones.

1. Normally when an error occurs on your computer looking in Event Viewer should be your starting point for finding a solution. Most system related errors are logged and getting an exact copy of the relevant report is important. Unfortunately understanding the reports is not easy and most computer users need help with their interpretation. I have more to say later on interpretation.

Important Reasons NOT to Download DLL Files

Websites that allow easy downloads of single DLL files seem like the answer you've been looking for when you get one of those annoying "DLL not found" or "DLL is missing" errors.
Consider this your fair warning - DLL download sites should almost always be avoided, even though they sometimes provide a quick fix. There are perfectly safe and acceptable ways of fixing DLL problems without resorting to downloading individual DLL files from these sites.
Skip to the How To Fix DLL Problems the Right Way at the bottom of this page or continue reading for several very important reasons to avoid downloading dll files:

DLL File

Definition: A DLL file, short for Dynamic Link Library, is a type of file that contains instructions that other programs can call upon to do certain things. This way, multiple programs can share the abilities programmed into a single file. For example, several different programs might all call upon the veryuseful.dll file (I made that up, of course) to find the free space on a hard drive, locate a file in a particular directory, and print a test page to the default printer.
Dynamic Link Libraries end in the file extension DLL. For example, a DLL file that often causes problems is the hal.dll file.
Also Known As: Dynamic Link Library

Examples:
"I received an error message when my computer started up that said I was missing a particular DLL file. After an exhaustive search on the Internet, I found out that I would have to reinstall Windows to fix it!"

Christopher Nolan recommends Wes Bentley for new Batman?

imageAccording to the latest reports from DC Entertainment superstar director Christopher Nolan has reportedly recommended Wes Bentley for the role of Batman in the Man Of Steel sequel, which will pit Bruce Wayne against Clark Kent.
The Dark Knight filmmaker, is currently working closely with the ‘Hunger Games’ actor on his upcoming sci-fi ‘Interstellar’. He is said to be keen for Bentley to play the caped crusader in the next superhero installment.
However it is reported that Bentley isn’t the only one in contention for the highly-coveted role. Despite Nolan’s expressed preference for Bentley, screenwriter David S. Goyer is thought to be a fan of Jake Gyllenhaal, as he was the screenwriter’s preferred choice for Bruce Wayne in ‘Batman Begins’. Furious 6 baddie Luke Evans and Oscar-winner Ben Affleck are also said to be in the running.
However, media sources report that Affleck may decline, although nothing has yet been confirmed. Max Martini, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Jude Law and Richard Armitage were among others previously rumored for the role.
Warner Bros. will surely be looking to finalize the next Dark Knight in coming months as they have to roll cameras on Man of Steel 2 soon if they hope to make the 2015 release date.

Her earlier film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor raked in a whopping Rs.182 crores and her most recent release ‘Chennai Express’ crossed the 180 crore mark on Sunday elevating her status to one of the most bankable stars in Bollywood today.
So far Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif only has ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ but will very likely join the club after the release of the highly-anticipated action thriller ‘Dhoom 3’ later this year. Kareena Kapoor is also a permanent member of the club with ‘3 idiots’ and Priyanka Chopra stands a fighting chance with the release of the superhero-flick ‘Krrish 3’ which will hit theatres this Diwali.
Even the heroes don’t have two films that have crossed the Rs 180 crore mark. Aamir Khan has just ‘3 Idiots’, Shah Rukh Khan has ‘Chennai Express’ and Salman Khan sits atop with ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.

Turmoil raises fresh fears for Egypt's Copts

A 60-year-old barber, Iskandar Toss, was shot dead and beheaded before his body was tied to a tractor and dragged through Delga village in the southern Egyptian province of Minya. An angry mob of Islamists then left his body in the street and a day later hung it in the middle of the village.

Toss is one of around a dozen Coptic Christians killed across Egypt since Wednesday, when Islamists launched attacks on churches and Christians' properties after security forces dispersed two sit-ins for supporters of ousted president Mohammed Morsi. Minya province is still dangerous as threats continue against Christians almost a week after attacks began, said activist Mina Thabet, founder of the Maspero Youth Union group.

Egypt: Bishop says Christians are paying highest price for Morsi's ouster

ChurchMinya.jpg
VATICAN CITY - The Coptic-Catholic bishop of Assiut, Kyrillos William Samaan, has told the international Catholic pastoral charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) that Islamists are taking ''revenge'' on Christians. ''This is absurd, of course. 33 million Egyptians had demanded his resignation. We Christians were not the only ones to demonstrate against Morsi,'' Bishop Kyrillos said, commenting on the recent attacks on Christians in Egypt.
