NEC Terrain is a rugged, Android 4.0 AT&T handset

NEC Terrain Currently available on AT&T for $99.99 with contract, the NEC Terrain is a waterproof and dustproof handset that's also shock resistant. This 4G LTE device features a 3.1-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 2 touchscreen with a 640x480-pixel resolution. Below the display is a four-row onboard QWERTY keyboard.
Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, it's also equipped with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
In addition, it has a push-to-talk button so users can make direct connect calls.
Powering the device is a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor from Qualcomm, and a 1,900mAh battery that has a reported talk time of 10 hours.
Users will also get 8GB of internal memory, 32GB of expandable memory via a microSD card slot, and Bluetooth 4.0.
While this phone does appear interesting considering its ruggedness, don't expect any more smartphones to come out of NEC. In July, the company announced that it has shut down its smartphone division, but will provide support for its existing handsets.
